Chief Judge Melissa Gillespie attended the New Westminster Bar Association Annual Bench and Bar dinner on October 8, 2024 and spoke about how the court is working to deliver an accessible, fair, efficient, and innovative forum of justice for all British Columbians. One initiative she discussed was the early resolution processes in Victoria and Surrey, and as of November 1, 2024 in Port Coquitlam, which reduce the impact of adversarial proceedings on children and parents in separating families.
